Digitalization in the doctor's office
The e-prescription will be mandatory from January 2024 and the associated restructuring processes in our practice have long since taken place in the background. The test phase is complete and ongoing. The first connector (connection and encryption box to the outside world) has already had to be replaced as its shelf life had expired.
Now, after a 3-hour update marathon, everything should run smoothly. That's the idea and hope.
Since the digitization of many processes, my employees and I have to "stare at the TV" much more than before, making the right clicks and waiting for feedback from the health insurance cloud. It's tough, annoying and tiring. It's not good for you or for us. We once intended to take care of people and devote ourselves to the concerns of our patients. Now there's a screen constantly demanding our attention between us.
In the media, this is referred to as "excessive bureaucracy" that steals doctor's time from the patient.
Please be patient with us middle-aged women who have to work with new technology but have never really learned how to do it.
We do what we can and if that is not enough or fast enough, then please refrain from criticism and be patient with us.
